Long Acre, London. M, S man with a pipe walks down passageway and knocks on door which is marked White Swan Tudor Street Fleet Street, Sketch Club Private. Panel slides back in door to reveal man s face. He recognises newcomer and opens door. Inside we see several men and women sketching a girl (art student Daphne) who is posing in a bikini. Good C, Us of newspaper cartoonists at work David Langdon of the Sunday Pictorial; Marco of the London Evening Standard; Norman Pett (creator of Jane ) of the Daily Mirror. Honorary Secretary of the Sketch Club, Joe Dowd of the Daily Herald, gets another girl (art teacher Lorna) in a swimsuit to take over as model. She poses with a beach ball.
