The TWO Scales You NEED For Soloing In a Minor Key ( Guitar Lesson)
Tabs For The Lesson: More Guitar Lessons: In this video we re taking a look at two different scales that are super useful to understand if you want to develop your ability to solo and improvise in a minor key. I m talking about the natural minor scale and the harmonic minor scale (Phrygian Dominant). The only difference between these two scales are one note. You play the Phrygian Dominant scale over Dominant 7th chords. Let s say you are playing over the following progression: Dm7 E7 Am7 Am7. Over Dm7 and Am7 you can play the Natural minor scale. Over E7 it s really common to play the E Phrygian Dominant scale a really nice sounding scale. Hope you will enjoy this lesson. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers Emanuel Hedberg
