Children need fathers

Over the last fifty years the idea has somehow gained currency in Britain that all families are equally beneficial for children and that a baby raised solely by the mother has the same lifechances as one brought up in a traditional nuclear family. This strange and thoroughly wrongheaded idea first arose among feminists who saw men as a baleful and malevolent influence upon women and children.
