The King Of Jordan (1966)
Jordan. Various shots at an outpost of the Bedouin Army of Jordan show soldiers preparing camels for riding; and riding on patrol through the arid countryside. Several shots at the palace; a sentry stands outside; the Jordan flag flies; two guards stand at the door of the King s office. We see King Hussein of Jordan sitting at a desk, writing; then getting up to greet a bishop; they sit and talk. The King is seen on a Royal tour of villages where new irrigation schemes are under way; crowds of people welcome him; women and children sing and clap; an Arab presents the King with a cup of coffee which he drinks. The King then lays a foundation stone for a new school at Hebron; a children s brass band plays and the crowd cheers and gathers round him.
