Story: When the rope broke and Leslie hit her head, she fell into a coma (remember, this is alternate universe) and when she came out, she began suffering extreme depression, often landing in the hospital. Jess who is, as we know, an artist copes with her depression through painting and drawing. After awhile, Jess realizes that Leslie is sinking lower into depression, and wants to do anything he can to help his friend. He remembers Terabithia and feels that maybe if he brings Leslie back there, he can show her how fun life really is and remind her of their friendship and her incredible imagination.
