making a realistic pet portrait, ft. my kitten

hello friends i remember seeing StitchingSabbatical s embroidery of a poodle for the first time on instagram and i was in love. followed her on ig to find out she was releasing a book and i knew i had to have it today we are embroidering a black lab named balto ngl, the embroidery was tough for me in the beginning. i had to redo several things (eg: I redid the ears and nose 3 times), used wrong colours, stitched too tight, just your average beginner mistakes. however, i am glad that i got to start and finish such an intimidating project. the book was very helpful for me and i highly recommend it if you want to try pet embroidery. i can t wait to create more projects from the book, what would you like to see Michelle Staub also recently released a course with Domestika on teaching you how to hand embroider a realistic pet portrait. if you re interested, the links to her course, book and socials will be down below.
