OPEN FOR MORE INFO: In this video I visit De Japanske Haver (The Japanese Gardens) on Funen. Created by dane Peter Dalsgaard on his own premises, De Japanske Haver opened for visitors in 2007. The place offers a unique opportunity to get a real, authentic slice of Japanese garden traditions in Denmark. Peter studied garden design and garden history in Kyoto, and subsequently worked in a gardening business in Japan. This is the background for the creation of the gardens which you can visit today. De Japanske Haver comprises six different styles of Japanese Gardens, all varied in planting and structure. There is the Garden of Life (also called the history garden), the View Garden, The Walking Garden, the Meditation Garden, The Temple Garden and the Courtyard.
