After decades of debate over this subject of the tollhouses, St. Anthonys Greek Orthodox Monastery in Florence, Arizona, has now published a meticulously researched 1, 112 page book called The Departure of the Soul. It compiles over 600 pages of source material from over 120 saints of the Orthodox Church, while a dedicated chapter shows that the leading opponent of the tollhouse doctrine, Abp. Lazar Puhalo, falsified patristic texts, icons, and lives of the saints in order to seemingly support his false opinions. This book is now available for purchase.
