Italian musician Francesco Barsanti originally from Tuscany collected and arranged the tunes whilst living in Scotland. There is some difference of opinion on the origins of this tune. Some collectors say the tune is derived from a 4, 4 version, whilst others say it evolved out of the 3, 4 one. from Banff to Ancona (EP), released June 3, 2018
