How Fiona Phillips Knew She Had Alzheimer s Years Before Her Diagnosis
Fiona Phillips, the former host of ITVs GMTV and a columnist for the Daily Mirror, has revealed that she was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease at the age of 61, a year ago. The journalist and broadcaster said that she had been suffering from anxiety and brain fog for months before she received the devastating news. Phillips, who is now 62, has seen the disease decimate her family, as both her parents, her uncle and her grandparents had Alzheimers. She said that she had always feared that she would inherit the condition, and even predicted her own diagnosis in a 2015 interview with the Mirror. In that interview, Phillips opened up about her parents struggles with dementia and how it affected her emotionally.
