Vladivostok has been hit by unexpected heavy rains and strong winds, leading to serious flooding across the city. The stormy weather started on the afternoon of June 8, 2023, with the peak of the precipitation expected to occur on the morning of June 9, and the rain is predicted to continue until Saturday. The downpour resulted in kneedeep puddles for pedestrians and bodies of water reaching the roofs of buses. Traffic jams formed in almost all districts of the city, and in some areas, the traffic seemed to be at a standstill.
