Battersea, London. The marvellous work which goes into candle making is demonstrated at the Belmont Works. C, U shot of a large pot of greenish liquid swirling round. A scoop is dipped in and the liquid is poured into another container. M, S of the work area, where a man is seen walking along the rows with different coloured candles in moulds. He stops and pours the liquid into one block. Another man presses a lever which pushes up the candles from the mould. he fits a metal block over the candles. C, U shot of the machine as the candles are pushed up. M, S of the factory and the man working with banks of yellow and red candles. C, U shot of the wicks being cut with a knife. A man takes a large frame of thin red candles, and lowers them into a mould. He then pulls them out, and lifts them away. Another man works with some thin pale blue candle, cutting them free from the frame and picking them up in a bundle. C, U shot of the base of a very large candle. C, U of feet going up a step ladder.
