This film is based on a real life story of a kid named Bobby, who committed suicide because his mom didn t accept his sexuality due to her Christian beliefs. Upon her son s death Mary Griffith takes an important role in the gay rights movement. Eventually she testifies in the Congress, fighting for gay rights.
