Ireland. Intertitle: THE DAILY TERROR IN IRELAND. A tragic picture that will bring home to all the terrible state of affairs. M, S of a crowd of panic stricken running down a street in the rain. M, S of a horse and cart next to an armoured vehicle and an Army truck. M, S of an Army officer next to the armoured car, pan to the Army truck filled with soldiers holding rifles. The officer appears to shouting instructions off screen. M, S of group of people outside a butcher s shop, a man in a top hat, accompanied by three soldiers walks over to them. Lying on the ground, outside the shop, are the bodies of two men. The soldiers pick up the dead bodies and carry them in the direction of the truck. More people crowd into shot, eager to get a glimpse of the corpses, a man in a trench coat ( a detective, perhaps ) is seen sending two curious little boys away.
