Elsted, Sussex. Reverend and Mrs Fernley Parkhouse. The Reverend Fernley Parkhouse is seen in the nave of his church. He walks off, carrying the chalice. We see him leaving the church and walking into his picturesque rectory. There he attends to his other business, that of a local subpost office. A woman is already waiting to collect her pension. Then a small girl comes in with a dog on a lead, asking for a dog licence. In the kitchen next door, we see Mrs Parkhouse making a cake.
