Mural by Grigor Khanjian at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts

This is a monumental mural by the wellknown Armenian painter Grigor Khanjyan (19262000). Left unfinished at the time of Khanjyans death, the three scenes of the mural illustrate important events in Armenias history: the creation of the Armenian alphabet (painted in 19921994); the battle of Vardanank in AD 451 (19951998); and the rebirth of Armenia (19982000).
