Simple DIY Steampunk Skirt

Hello Everyone Today Im making a steampunk inspired skirt for my costume by altering a simple peasant skirt. Looking online the kind of skirts I wanted were so expensive and the style is so simple to make I immediately knew Id rather sew my own. I picked up a simple, long peasant skirt at a thrift shop and simply stitched through the tiers in two straight lines up towards the waste. Tie the strings and reinforce the stitches and thats it. So simple The whole project took less than 20 minutes start to finish and when paired with these awesome leggings from Amazon, the look is on point. I dont have the rest of my costume finished yet, but I really like how the skirt turned out.
