Mother Rat is a onewoman band from Novosibirsk, Russia, formed in 2024 by Olga Mother Hel Nikolaeva. The band s work is dedicated to C. S. Lewis s The Chronicles of Narnia series and combines the sounds of synthesizers and gusli, a traditional Russian folk instrument. The album Just Beginning of The Story was recorded in the author s home studio and is dedicated to the first book of the Chronicles. It tells the story of the creation of Narnia and the emergence of a connection between our ordinary world and the world of magic.
