bladder stone removal
Horses have a lot of calcium in their diet. If a horse gets a kidney or bladder infection the debris can act as a focus for the calcium salts to precipitate out and, over a long period of time, cause a bladder stone to form. These are quite rough and jagged and cause trauma to the bladder which then leads to bleeding from the bladder wall, and blood in the horse s urine.
