Doctors Without Borders nurse on her experience in Gaza
They know theyre going to die, and theyre choosing to stay behind anyway. In an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, Emily Callahan, a nurse with Doctors Without Borders, describes her experience working with the doctors and nurses in the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. She emphasises that the doctors and nurses who stayed behind despite Israels forced displacement orders are heroes. Since the start of the war on 7 October, Israel has repeatedly bombed hospitals in the besieged strip. Ambulances have also been targeted throughout the duration of the war, with at least 15 rendered totally out of use.
