D. D. Sound La Bionda : D. D. Sound Full Album + Bonus (1977)
Italian brothers Angelo Carmelo La Bionda had their entrance on the Italian music scene in the early 70s, releasing a couple of pop albums by themselves as well as producing for other people, among those the debut single of a certain Amanda Lear By 1977 disco was in full blossom, and they decided to jump on the band wagon. They named their project D. D. Sound, an abbreviation for Disco Delivery Sound. Recorded at Country Lane Studios, Munich, it featured many of the same musicians that supported Donna Summer, Silver Convention, Boney M. and all the other beloved artists of that era, Jerry Rix is an uncredited vocalist on this album as well. Disco Bass was the theme tune for the TV programme Domenica Sportiva (Sport Sunday). I have also added a cover version of Burning Love by Pearly Gates, a singer of 60s girl group The Flirtations, and a lady that I have had the pleasure to befriend and record myself many years later. 00:01 Burning Love 09:27 Shopping Baby 15:10 Disco Bas
