On Cam: Slovak PM Fico Shot Multiple Times in Politically Motivated Assassination Attempt Slovakias Prime Minister, Robert Fico, has been critically injured in a politically motivated assassination attempt. The incident occurred in the central town of Handlova after a government meeting where PM Fico was engaging with the public. While shaking hands with a crowd, a man near a barricade drew a gun and fired five shots at the Prime Minister. Fico was immediately airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital before being transferred to another medical facility in Banska Bystrica. The alleged assailant, a 79yearold man, was detained at the scene, though his identity has not yet been formally disclosed by authorities.
