Probably the best known road for cycling in the Santa Monica Mountains. I left this one til just about last before taking a crack at it. My friend Rafael (Descent Disciples Vol. 1 Gravel Gods Ep. 2) had the record down there and I knew it was going to be a lot of hard work to top. We got the job done but as you can tell from me slumped over the bars as soon as I finish, it was as predicted, hard It s not a very steep descent and there is a short climb and flat section right in the middle plus a whole lot of pedaling either side of that. It s one of the descents you have to pace correctly or you ll run out of steam for the last mile where the gradient again turns fairly flat and usually has a slight head wind.
