Hiking

An early, humid, summer morning we set out to tackle the biggest adventure of my life. Mount Mitchell the highest peak on the east coast of North America. About 12 miles total with 4000 feet of climb. Definitely the most challenging hike I have ever done. It was humbling, but a perfect beginning to peak bagging We stayed overnight at the Black Mountain Campground, to allow us the ease of the trail head being 500 feet away.
