A Floresta Proibida, The Forbidden Forest (2021) dir. Thiago M. Abrahão

Inspired mainly by the works of James Benning, this film is a project from years ago, at first it would be shot in different locations, but after the sale a land near my house to building construction, I decided to shot it in in this terrain, whose trees and history were already sentenced by progress, thus fitting perfectly with the films script. With poetry by Fábio Oliveira as protagonist, the film portrays, in a minimalist way, the feelings, emotions and memories of a lifetime. The musical entries were inspired by Manoel de Oliveiras films and his dry style and simple appearance, but at the same time bringing all the refinement and emotion that only cinema can provide. from official site:
