Retired USAF Col. John Venable, former F 16 pilot, warns about the current state of the US Airforce
Retired USAF Col. John Venable, former F16 pilot, warns about the current state of the US Airforce. According to him, Americas airpower edge isnt what it used to be: Only about 750 combatready fighters available at any given time. Training hours have dropped, leaving pilots less prepared. The fleet keeps shrinking as older jets retire faster than new ones arrive. Meanwhile, China is doing the opposite: Rapidly expanding its 4th and 5thgen fighter force. PLAAF pilots now average 200 flight hours annually, compared to roughly 150 for many USAF pilots. In a Taiwan scenario, China could surge 1, 1001, 200 fighters almost immediately. This isnt exactly news for anyone paying attention. Since around 2015, Chinas modernization push has accelerated at a pace the U. S. cant counter alone, which is why Washington is leaning harder than ever on its network of allies. Source: Slavyangrad t. me, Slavyangrad
