The Face of Takabuti ( Artistic Reconstruction)

This mummy of a 2030 yearold woman was buried West of Thebes near the end of the 25th dynasty of Egypt. According to hieroglyphs, she was married, the mistress of a great house, and the daughter of a priest of Amun. ARTIST NOTES: I was already aware that there were some wellknown reconstructions of this mummy s skull in circulation by highly esteemed forensic artists. As is often the case with 3D modeling, the results, for me at least, end up looking very mask like with the large, dead, unseeing eyes
