The Motor Railway (1923)
A motortrain which runs between Headcorn in Kent and Robertsbridge in West Sussex is featured. A man starts the engine of the motortrain with a starting handle at the front (it almost looks like an ordinary car from this angle). He gets into the driver s seat. We then see the train running along railway tracks. Shot from inside the train we can see the driver and the view from the front windows. Moving shot of the train on the tracks. The train is nicknamed Lizzie. The train goes through a tunnel and across a level crossing. We see it travel through the countryside and arrive at a station presumably Robertsbridge (only short shot of station). Probably originally a Pathe Pictorial item not Eve s Film Review.
