Dance of the Butterflies: Slow Motion Gulf Fritillaries 720p HD Upscaled Casio EX F1
Enjoy some very closeup slow motion footage of these amazing orange, black and silver butterflies, as they visit the flowers of Lantana bushes. This footage was filmed inside the Los Angeles Zoo, on ornamental plants along one of the pathways. The adult butterflies love to feed on the nectarrich flowers of Lantana, while the caterpillars eat the leaves of Passion Vine. These scenes were filmed with a handheld Casio EXF1 high speed camera, at 300fps. The footage was rendered at 15fps, resulting in a 20x slowdown from realtime speed, and upscaled to 720p HD to help preserve the resolution after multiple trips through video compression. The music is a custom mix of Bio from the Silicon Landscape CD by Technician (yours truly).
