Plot: A drama, based on a successful play, about an aging actor (Sir Anthony Hopkins) and his personal assistant (Sir Ian McKellen). Data: Edward Fox appeared in The Dresser (1983). In the earlier version, Fox played Oxenby, while in this movie, Fox played Thornton. Sir Anthony Hopkins was the principal champion for the project.
