1950 In a Lonely Place En un lugar solitario Nicholas Ray VOSE
Dixon Steele (Humphrey Bogart) es un afamado guionista de Hollywood, conflictivo y violento al que le encargan adaptar una obra literaria. Como la obra es mala y el no quiere tomarse la molestia de leerla, decide llevar a su casa a Mildred (Martha Stewart) la chica del guardarropa del bar que frecuenta que sí la había leido con el propósito que se la cuente. Así sucede. La chica, ya bien entrada la noche, se va. A la mañana siguiente es noticia que Mildred aparece asesinada y Steele queda como sospechoso. Sin embargo, la nueva vecina Laurel Gray (Gloria Grahame), quien los había visto esa noche, le da la coartada a la policía. Allí comienza una relación entre el Steele y Laurel que se torna cada vez más tormentosa ya que Laurel comienza a dudar seriamente de la inocencia de Steele. En el desenlace, cuando se produce la ruptura de la pareja, Laurel se enterará que efectivamente Steele era inocente (DERECHO NOIR)
