What We Found in Indigenous London Student Presentations, 8 July 2016
This is a video recording of the What We Found in Indigenous London student presentations that were held on July 8, 2016. In June, students from FNIS, History, and other academic disciplines travelled to London in search of Indigenous history. They drew on more than five hundred years of Indigenous visitations to the city some voluntary, others not to rethink the capital of the British Empire as a colonial space, and even as an Indigenous one. Learn about what they found and about Indigenous pasts, presents, and futures in one of the worlds great cities. Thank you to all of our wonderful students, Go Global, all of the great people we met in London, UBC s Faculty of Arts, UBC s Department of History, Dr. Coll Thrush, and Tanya Bob
