Megan Danielle wows judges with emotional rendition of Vince Gills Go Rest High on That Mountain on
Megan Danielle, one of the top 10 finalists of American Idol Season 21, delivered a stunning performance of Vince Gills classic Go Rest High on That Mountain on Sunday nights episode. The 18yearold singer from Georgia chose the song from three options given by the judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. The song, which Gill wrote in memory of his brother who died of a drug overdose, was a personal choice for Megan, who dedicated it to her grandfather who passed away last year. She said he was her biggest supporter and always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Megans rendition of the emotional ballad showcased her unique and soulful voice, as well as her ability to connect with the lyrics and the audience. She received a standing ovation from the judges, who praised her for her authenticity and vulnerability. You just sang your heart out, Perry said. You sang with so much emotion and so much passion. You have such a gift and youre using it for good. Bryan agr
