In the workshop with Ben 01. ( Ben Harris Co, UK based Traditional Boatbuilders)

In this video, traditional boatbuilder Ben Harris, and his team, are working on a 34foot gaff cutter yacht called CONSTANCE. They started this newbuild commission for their client in the autumn of 2019; photographer Emily Harris checks out their progress, observing various jobs going on at Ben s workshop, within Gweek Classic Boatyard, just outside Falmouth in Cornwall. Ben shapes up some spar fittings, later to be fitted to the mast and spars he has made. James fits the companionway steps also made by Ben, making it easier to access the interior onboard CONSTANCE, as she is fitted out. Pete fits her skylight which is made from reclaimed teak, once part of the deck of a cruise liner. The lines for CONSTANCE were developed by Ben, in collaboration with naval architect Jack Gifford and were inspired by a Falmouth quay punt called CURLEW.
