Ash A Life Less Ordinary ( Official Video)
Now with the addition of guitarist Charlotte Hatherley, poached from London outfit Nightnurse, Ash released A Life Less Ordinary in October 1997. Recorded for the Danny Boyle film of the same title, and produced by Arthur Baker, A Life Less Ordinary was Ashs third Top 10 single in a row. The video includes clips from the film featuring Cameron Diaz and Ewan McGregor and was directed by Hammer Tongs (Blur Coffee TV, Sugergrass Pumping on Your Stereo). Drummer Rick McMurray was taken ill with bronchitis during the filming of the video and replaced by a crew member for the latter parts. The lyrics for A Life Less Ordinary were inspired by the Robert Graves book White Goddess, and the track appeared on the US release of the bands second full length album Nuclear Sounds in 1999.
