What is Feedback Control

Two concepts provide the basis for most automatic control strategies: feedback (closedloop) control and feedforward (openloop) control. Feedback control maintains a desired process condition by measuring that condition, comparing the measurement with the desired condition, and initiating corrective action based on the difference between the desired and the actual conditions.
