As an example well be modelling, shading and rendering a realistic human eye. Well start things of with modelling a correct anatomy of an eye, with sclera and iris as separate objects then well cover how we can unwrap such objects for projection texturing. In the final chapter of this maya tutorial well be using mayas hyperhshade in conjunction with the Arnold renderer to create accurate shaders and the most important part; how to combine two shaders to be a part of a single objects using alpha masks. Well also briefly touch on how to set up linear workflow in Arnold for Maya and how to gamma correct your incoming textures to produce accurate results.
