In the Spring of 1980 I was working for WHBQ in Memphis, TN. While leaving Memphis on a Friday night to drive to Florida I decided to tune in one of our competitor s to hear what they were doing on the air. The jock said they were in the process of playing the new Linda Ronstadt album, Mad Love , without interruption, with Side 2 starting in 10 seconds.
