Brayden Erbacher Tragically Died While Competing
About 11 a. m. on Sunday, Brayden Erbacher, 20, of Ipswich, Queensland, was competing in Wonthaggi, Victoria when he fell while launching off a jump and was struck by another rider. The young rider s brilliant performance was lost despite receiving immediate medical attention for a severe head injury. He was pronounced dead moments later. The tragedy happened in front of hundreds of horrified spectators and the rest of the day s ProMX Championship events involving elite competitors from across the country were cancelled. Motorcycling Australia cleared the area after cancelling the rest of the races and investigations by the Victorian police and WorkSafe began. His unexpected passing has come as a complete shock to all his family members and friends, as they mourn the death of their beloved, Brayden.
