Supreme KIDS 20th Anniversary Interview with Larry Clark
In conjunction with its KIDS 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection, Supreme interviewed director Larry Clark about his film KIDS, which reaches its 20th anniversary this year. Clark touches on the influences he had in the making of the film, which caused quite the controversy during the time of its release for its portrayal of New York City youth culture, sexual experimentation, AIDS, substance abuse and teenage angst. The interview is intertwined with overlaying footage from the film, the same imagery that lent itself to the tribute collections aesthetic as seen on the graphic prints and designs on hoodies, longsleeve tops, Tshirts and skateboard decks. The Supreme 2015 KIDS 20th Anniversary capsule collection will be available for purchase May 21 online and in New York City, Los Angeles and London locations, followed by a May 23 Japan release.
