With FW 2023, 2024 Collection, Max Mara pays tribute to French mathematician, physicist, and author Émilie du Châtelet (1706 1749), the free spirited Marquise, who explored the issues of the age: the education and social role of women, the afterlife, and human happiness. She was a great intellect, above the scientists, a woman to be admired in so many ways. A lot of her discoveries are still relevant today, so that was the starting point for the collection, says Max Mara s Creative Director Ian Griffiths.
