Various shots of people arriving at Guildhall Winston Churchill, smoking cigar; Clement Attlee; Admiral of the Fleet Lord Cunningham; Field Marshal Lord Alan Brooke with his wife in open landau; Sir Charles Portal, Chief of RAF with his wife in landau. The three service chiefs salute the Guard of Honour then inspect the guards. They go into Guildhall. Inside Guildhall we see various shots of the ceremony where the three chiefs of service are given freedom of the City of London by Lord Chamberlain, Lord Mayor of London. Churchill and Attlee are seen on the platform. Extracts from speeches made by each one (natural sound). They all sign the register. Swords are presented to the three men.
