Beethoven Moonlight Sonata, Arr. Stefan Kraus
An attempt at a personal interpretation for orchestra. A heart project. Written February to October 2024. I seem to experience the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata differently from most others. A pianist was once amused when I mentioned that when I play it on the piano, I m quickly in fortissimo. That was the impetus to tell this piece in my own way with the orchestra. Now that it s finally finished, I m already finding weak points again. But I m very tired after this year and I ll leave it at that. .. I don t know if there are already orchestrations of this movement. I don t know of any and I haven t looked for them in order to remain uninfluenced in my work. If I have done a poor job in comparison, please forgive me. If I ever start orchestrating Für Elise, lock me in a padded cell immediately.
