This episode acknowledges the works of Bill Finger, Dick Sprang and Frank Miller. Note: Loosely based on The Batman Nobody Knows from Batman, 250 (July 1973) by Frank Robbins and Dick Giordano and contains a direct adaptation of part of the comic Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
