Seminar organized by the Centre for Culture, Identify and Education (CCIE), in collaboration with the Office of Associate Dean of Indigenous Education. University of British Columbia Drawing on the urgent Idle No More Indigenous Movement, this oneday symposium brings together Indigenous and nonindigenous administrators, faculty and graduate students from a wide variety of disciplines and units to showcase the work of nonindigenous scholars undertaking work in Indigeneity and make transparent and seriously engage the politics of such work. The complex and difficult problematic, issue of the confluence of identity and representation and ally politics is a particular focus.
