Navalny was on a flight back to Moscow from the Siberian city of Tomsk when he started feeling unwell, prompting the plane to make an emergency landing. The lawyer and anticorruption activist, who is well known for his outspoken criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has served several stints in prison for organising antiKremlin protests.
