Majorcan slingers, LUX MALLORCA

The Majorcan slingers are well known from the year 700 B. C. when they bravely defended the island from the attack by Greek and Phoenician pirates throwing stones with their slings. They also won Punic Wars against the Romans. They became well known and valued in the ancient Mediterranean, being highly prized as mercenaries.
