Link to full concert: The composition Meetings and Partings was born under the impression of a book about the fate of Anna Akhmatova (18891966) and her relationship with the equally famous and talented poet, her husband, Nikolai Gumilyov (18861921). This composition is one of the most beloved and important for me. Living one of the hardest unusual and bright periods of my life, I read the book by O. Chernenkova The Warrior and the Virgin. The story described in it, like no other, was reflected in my creative mind at that moment, giving answers to some important, vital questions that confronted me at that moment.
