We Are The World Stay Strong San Diego

We Are The WorldStay Strong San Diego, produced, directed and filmed by Thom Vollenweider, was recorded during the 2020 COVID19 pandemic. The video features local awardwinning artists and musicians supporting our local hospitals, first responders and caregivers in San Diego, California. This project aims to bring awareness to our hospitals and health care workers that risk their lives daily, caring for their patients. Nationwide, more than 2900 hospital workers have lost their lives from COVID while providing care More than half were nurses. The project also intends to offer support to our local artists, singers, musicians who lost their jobs and careers overnight. Each artist performing in this video was recorded individually over the course of seven months, beginning in April 2020. Their support made this video all possible.
