Fire Thong
The fire thong is a firebyfriction technique that was utilized in Southeast Asia and Papua New Guinea. This unique fire making method required a heathboard and a piece of split rattan. A conical hole is created on the top, flat side of the hearthboard. A tiny hole, that bores to the end of the conical crater, is created in the middle of the bottom, curved side of the hearthboard.
